Safety and quality of transport service
Safety has always been a priority for Transportes Martín. We were pioneers in creating our Safety, Quality, and Environment Department decades ago and in becoming aware of the importance of adopting an accident prevention policy. One of our greatest achievements is having an accident rate well below the average in the road dangerous goods transport sector, always keeping zero accident rate as our goal.
Furthermore, our commitment to safety goes far beyond what affects our company: since we participated in the first Congress of the International Road Transport Union (IRU) held in Rome in 1950, we have not stopped collaborating with authorities and bodies to improve current safety regulations. In fact, at present, we are part of the Interministerial Subcommittee for the Transport of Dangerous Goods by Road, dependent on the Ministry of Development.
The company’s Safety Department relies on highly qualified staff to face crisis situations such as breakdowns and accidents, as well as a fleet of fully equipped assistance vehicles to help our drivers if needed. Our work is completed with simulations we perform to check the effectiveness of our Emergency Plans, and a 24-hour emergency phone number (961400062) to provide assistance to our services.
In addition, at Transportes Martín we understand safety as a global concept with many angles that must be addressed from a 360° perspective. For this reason, we try to avoid accident rates by continuously training our drivers in preventive road safety. Also, our investment in technology and our continuous fleet renewal redounds to greater safety, as trucks feature the latest advancements in active and passive safety.
These brave drivers stand out, as well as the innovative voluntary limitation of the maximum speed of all vehicles, which also impacts greater safety and greater care for the environment. Even the careful selection of our personnel, where professionalism prevails, is a key factor in avoiding accident rates.
Quality
All the effort of our organization is aimed at covering the needs of our clients. At Transportes Martín we have adopted a constant commitment to offer maximum quality in our road transport services. The integrated management system adopted by the company has obtained ISO 9001 certification and the endorsement of the SQAS (Safety and Quality Assessment System) Attestation, a meeting point for the chemical industry integrated into CEFIC.
Environment
Another concern of Transportes Martín is caring for and respecting the Environment. For this reason, we have developed an environmental management system, accredited with ISO 14001 certification, in order to prevent any negative impact on our environment. An attitude that shapes the daily work of our professionals, both at our bases and on the road.
